Interstate Specialty Marketing, Inc. (ISM) was founded in 1983 as an insurance marketing company, based on the belief that there was an opportunity to offer better products, service and support to producers and clients than was the current industry standard. The primary business of ISM is life insurance sales through independent licensed agents. ISM created an affiliate company, ISM Administrators (ISMA), an administrative company that is a licensed and bonded Third Party Administrator that serves as a premium collection and disbursement company. These two companies work closely together in the daily marketing, sales, administration and service to both clients and agents of our products. Both companies are housed together in the ISM building in Tustin, California.
Although ISM began as a traditional life insurance marketing company providing traditional life products, its philosophy is that unique products and customized services can be used in niche marketing and agency building.
To that end, ISM created its own innovative products and developed an administrative system, both of which are still unrivaled in the industry. In doing so, ISM began a trend in the insurance and financial service business which many have attempted to copy, but have been unable to sustain. ISM is unique in its ability to enjoy long term success and viability in an ever-changing industry.
