ISM's five operating principles are the foundation of our marketing and sales philosophy and company structure. The core of that foundation is our ability to control our own destiny.
- Helping Americans achieve financial independence at retirement. ISM, through the American Associations of Government/Private Employees, offers FREEDOMFLEX® to its members as a product/service. This hybrid name indicates that we market plans which consist of both products and services combined into one package.
- Helping Producers and Managers achieve their career and income goals. ISM provides a corporate structure that gives it the ability to make available to our producers and managers a system with all the tools needed to help them achieve their desired income through personal production or agency building, utilizing a variety of distribution channels. As indicated by our full name, Interstate Specialty Marketing, our flexibility enables us to customize sales and marketing systems for Marketing Organizations, Managing General Agents, General Agents, Managers and Producers with unique and special needs. ISM's commission structure and pay systems, along with its bonus programs, provides the elements for long term growth and wealth accumulation for Producers and Managers.
- Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with Managers, Producers, and Client companies. ISM's "Partners in Progress" approach to corporate structure, along with its "STAR" Training System, insures long-term relationships while maintaining the leadership in the control of our own destiny.

Commission
ISM's commission hierarchy structure provides multiple commission levels and can accommodate agency-building requirements, including levels needed for managing lead programs. There is also an additional level for Marketing Organizations which can bring one million of paid annualized premium production to ISM. Our contracts for Marketing Organization, Agency Builders, and Producers are the highest in the industry. ISM's Referral Bonus Program is one of a kind. Exclusive territories and markets are also available with qualifying production. ISM's commission structure also provides for a weekly advance system. Business that is received by Monday and processed that week is usually advanced on Thursday. Organizations or individuals which have special needs may have a special commission system designed to fit their needs. Be sure and ask about our marketing fee bonus.
